Bill Alexander
Co-Founder

Bill Alexander is a native of Kannapolis, North Carolina, and was graduated from Davidson College (BA, 1973), and Wake Forest University School of Law (JD, 1976). He now manages an estate and business planning practice as a partner in the law firm of WG ALexander & Associates, PLLC in Raleigh, North Carolina. Bill has practiced law for 30 years and maintains an ‘A-v’ * attorney rating* by Martindale-Hubbell. He works closely with business and family clients on wealth transfer and asset protection, Medicaid strategies and Qualification, counseling for wills and trusts, and the handling of estate administration and probate. Bill is a member of the Estate Planning Section and Elder Law Section of the NC Bar Association and a “Charter Member” of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is also a member of the Wake County Planning Council and the Mid-South Network of Estate Planning Attorneys. He regularly provides continuing education for Attorney’s, CPA’s, financial advisors and insurance agents for Estate Planning.

Bill is a former Member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. He recently retired from the North Carolina Air National Guard with the rank of Colonel. Bill was the top legal officer in the N.C. Air Guard for most of his military career. In his last assignments for the Guard, he taught as an adjunct faculty member at the USAF Judge Advocate General School and served as the ANG Assistant to the Air Force Special Operations Command. Bill was the Editor in Chief of the legal training course for the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations and managed the U. S. Air Force Civil Affairs program and continues to act as a Subject Matter Expert in the field. Bill was awarded the Legion of Merit and the Distinguished Service Medal; he was recognized by the Governor of North Carolina for his service to the state by induction into “The Order of the Long Leaf Pine.” Bill is married with two teenage sons. He is an active member and Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Raleigh.

Erica Conklin is originally from Encino, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California at Riverside and her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law. Erica is licensed to practice law in Ohio and North Carolina and works as an Of Counsel Associate Attorney in the law firm of W.G. Alexander & Associates, PLLC, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her practice focuses on Elder Law, Medicaid eligibility, and Social Security Disability Appeals. Erica advises family clients on estate and long term care planning, including special needs planning as well as planning for incapacity and guardianships. She assists senior citizens and disabled individuals qualify for and maintain government benefits, while preserving their assets and protecting their family from the astronomical cost of nursing home care. Her professional associations include membership in the Estate Planning Section and Elder Law Section of the NC Bar Association, WealthCounsel, the Mid-South Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys, and the Raleigh Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.

Erica began her legal career as an officer in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG). During her first assignment in the JAG Corps, Erica served as the Chief Tax Advisor for all personnel assigned to Brooks Air Force Base, Texas. In addition, she quickly became the resident expert in health law, advising local hospital administrators and physicians on patient rights, quality of care matters, privacy issues, and medical malpractice claims. During her last assignment in the JAG Corps, Erica deployed to Qatar in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and served as the Chief Legal Advisor to the Commanding General of the largest fighter base in the Central Command. Upon her return, Erica was the Chief Prosecutor for Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. During this time, Erica also taught Business and Aviation Law as an adjunct professor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
Ronette Sutton Gerber
Associate Attorney


Ronette Sutton Gerber is a native of Buncombe County, North and graduated from Pembroke State University (BA, 1989), and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MPA, 1992 and JD, 1997). She now works as an Associate Attorney at W.G. Alexander & Associates, PLLC. She has over 10 years experience in civil litigation, particularly child custody, adoption, and matrimonial issues. She also has experience in Worker's Compensation and Employment Law. Ronette is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Tenth Judicial District Bar of North Carolina. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and the Federal District Court of North Carolina.

Ms. Gerber holds many organizations close to heart, however the two she supports the most are the Master of Public Administration program with the School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Southern Wake Montessori School in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. She has served on both Boards and has devoted hours of time and energy to their efforts. In 2007, she was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation in recognition of her volunteer service. Currently, Ms. Gerber serves on the North Carolina Academy of Trail Lawyers' Legislative Committee. Ronette lives in Raleigh and has three children.

Tracy Pulley - Medicaid Program Manager
Tracy handles all Medicaid cases, some Estate Planning cases, and other assigned duties. Tracy received her Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University in December 2003 and has worked with W. G. Alexander & Associates since February 2006. She is originally from Faison's Old Tavern, North Carolina. Tracy currently lives in Garner with her husband and two daughters.

Marian Tucker - Community Outreach and Education Coordinator
Marian is a native of Henderson, North Carolina and graduated from North Carolina State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public and Interpersonal Communication. She handles the marketing, accounting, and document preparation for W.G. Alexander & Associates. She currently lives in Cary with her husband.

Nikki Thomas - Medicaid Paralegal
Nikki is a native of China Grove, North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. She helps with all Medicaid cases and any other assigned duties. Nikki worked in the Medicaid Department for Rowan County Department of Social Services for 2 years before coming to W.G. Alexander & Associates. She currently lives in Morrisville with her fiancé.
